Obituary:It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jimmy on April 17, 2012 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Inverness he was the son of the late James Alexander and Mary Sarah (MacDougall) MacIsaac. Jimmy was a retired coal miner, having worked in number 12 and Lingan mines. Being a very private person, his family was most important to him and his grandchildren were his pride and joy, especially when they would accompany him to his bungalow in Glenville, Inverness, which he enjoyed and spent his summers there fishing. He is survived by his wife, Isabel (Cadden) and sons Jimmy (Maureen), New Waterford., Kenny (Lisa), Halifax, Stephen (Crystal), Calgary; daughters Willena (Lorne) MacDonald and Donna (Frankie) McDaniel, Margaree, sisters Annie, Rose, Gloria and Mary Agnes; brothers Tommy, ON, Sonny, Montreal and Jackie (Theresa), Glace Bay; grandchildren Lesley, Garett (Cathy), Bianca, Savannah, Steve, Justin, Miranda, Madison Claudia, Jamie and Gregory, and great-grandchild Roisin. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by brothers Albert, Alex Dan; sisters Mary and Margaret, mother-in-law Carmella Cadden and sister-in-law Eileen Odo. Cremation has taken place under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 862-7500 and a chapel service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2 PM with Deacon Leo Penny officiating in the funeral home chapel and a reception to follow at the K.O.C., Plummer Ave. All are welcome.
